Beth Enson and her husband, Ray Garcia |
Beth Enson
Director of Development
I was born in Brooklyn and moved to Taos in 1993. I live with my partner Ray Garcia and our daughter Rivala, age 12. Rivala was a footling breech c-section, but prenatal care with the midwives was enough to transform my approach to life and to my body. Ray and I home school Rivala, a budding artist and nature lover. I have worked for non profits all my life, and ran a grant writing business in Taos from 1996 through 2001. I believe non-profits are the seeds of a rational society to come. I write poems (one book so far, A Bee In The Sheets,) have a vegetable and flower garden, and teach co-counseling, a peer counseling/international social change movement. I love being part of the giant extended Garcia clan, belonging to the amazing progressive Taos community, and working for the most heart-centered, long-lived non profit in town. |
